Water Street Tampa

Tampa, FL

The Water Street District, located in downtown Tampa, is an up-and-coming neighborhood filled with residential, commercial, and institutional buildings along the Tampa Bay. Our goal was to design a festive atmosphere for residents and visitors to enjoy during the holiday season. The Water District is known for its public art so it was important to create an experience to match. We filled the four-block area with interactive sculptures including eight lotus and two 11-foot crystalline teddy bear motifs as a compliment to the art scene. We built a 15-foot walk-through arch, crafted from recycled wood and decorated a majestic 35-foot Christmas tree that were noteworthy additions to the display. We added over 300 natural pine cones to the tree, sparkling stars and a custom designed tree topper built to withstand Tampa’s hurricane season. The entire Water Street project took 16-months to complete from concept to installation and required over 3000 hours of work.
