NY Presbyterian Children’s Hospital

American Christmas proudly partnered with New York Presbyterian to deliver a heartwarming and whimsical holiday décor installation at two of its key locations: the Children’s Hospital and Children’s Emergency Hospital at 3959 Broadway in New York City. This custom-designed Christmas display was created to uplift patients, families, and staff during the holiday season — especially those facing life-changing moments.

A Vision of Hope and Comfort

The installation included holiday decorations across the hospital’s driveway, main lobby, pediatric emergency room floor, and emergency entrance. The client’s vision was clear: to bring joyful, child-friendly holiday magic to spaces that serve pregnant women, sick children, and the general public. The goal was to create a positive, comforting environment that feels festive and hopeful.

Child-Friendly Design

To achieve this, American Christmas designed a whimsical Christmas tree standing 20 feet tall, decorated with over 100 real children’s books — inviting young patients to explore and read. The décor also featured nearly 200 feet of garland, oversized candy ornaments, and custom child-sized nutcrackers with playful penguin, bear, and mouse faces. These elements were carefully chosen to reflect the youthful spirit of the hospital and differentiate it from traditional holiday installations.

Efficient Execution, Meaningful Impact

The entire project was completed in just 11 hours by a crew of 12–14 professional holiday installers, showcasing both operational efficiency and creative excellence. This installation stands out as a meaningful blend of holiday design, logistical precision, and emotional impact — bringing light and joy to one of New York’s most important healthcare institutions.
