We partnered with Vornado Realty Trust to deliver a bold and extravagant holiday décor installation at 2 Penn Plaza (PENN 2) — a landmark property located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, directly above Penn Station and adjacent to Madison Square Garden. As the centerpiece of Vornado’s ambitious PENN District redevelopment, this location demanded a holiday display that matched its architectural transformation and cultural significance.

Bringing a Vision to Life

The installation spanned the exterior plaza along 7th Avenue, the main lobby, and upper floors, creating a festive experience for commuters, tenants, and visitors alike. The client’s vision was to highlight the magnificence of the building’s proximity to New York’s busiest transit hub and the iconic MSG entrance, while complementing the sleek, modern design of the newly renovated tower.

To reflect the scale and vibrancy of the location, American Christmas installed more than 40 custom-decorated holiday trees ranging from 6 to 20 feet tall, including four dramatic exterior tree clusters that serve as focal points throughout the plaza. The décor also includes hundreds of feet of garland, elegant lighting, and festive accents that bring warmth and celebration to this high-traffic urban plaza.

The installation was completed in just 8 hours by a crew of 20 professional holiday installers, showcasing both speed and precision. This project stands out for its integration with one of New York’s most recent redevelopments, blending holiday magic with urban sophistication in a location that defines connectivity, culture, and commerce.
